KFC 2017
One of my favorite social media creeper campaign ads was KFC’s 2017 11 Herbs and Spices. If you spent 2017 binge-watching Netflix under a rock and ignoring all tweets the link below will catch you up.
KFC’s Stunt of Following 11 People on Twitter Was Nice, But …
This campaign was an understated way to poke fun at the audience by tempting the big reveal of KFC’s secret fried chicken recipe and making a pun. If the internet loves one thing other than cats, its definitely puns.
Not only did KFC have a low-key patient approach to the campaign but when a Twitter user figured out the joke KFC commissioned a portrait of him with the colonel.
Dreams DO come true. #GiddyUpColonel

The use of social media has a big influence on organizations. Some brands are known for the tone they take not just with consumers but with other brands. Wendy’s trolling Mcdonalds is a prime example.

Social media influences organizations by having a tone of voice for the brand that gives the impression of a personal identity and local relationships.
The current applications for business for social media are very exciting. I really look forward to augmented reality.
